Between Monday 8th and Saturday 13th September 2025, Br Mark Scicluna OFMCap and Br Ryan Dalli OFMCap took part in an international Capuchin meeting in Foligno, Italy. The purpose of the gathering was to discuss, animate, and form the friars present for the Fraternities of San Lorenzo di Brindisi. These fraternities are one of the ways in which the Order seeks to live out and renew its charismatic identity.
Over the course of the meeting, the friars from these seven fraternities presented their particular missions and reflected on the four pillars of the Capuchin charism: fraternal life, prayer, minority, and mission. The brothers were divided into small groups, where each participant had the opportunity to share personal experiences of living the four pillars and to propose concrete suggestions for the San Lorenzo di Brindisi project.
During these days, the brothers also visited Assisi and one of the fraternities in Spello, where they shared their final conclusions together. On the final day, the General Councillor presented two key documents: the Vademecum and the statutes of the project, which both will provide guidance for this project in the years ahead.
The friars followed the customary rhythm of Capuchin life throughout the week, marked by time for prayer, work, and fraternal moments.
