Two Capuchin friars and seven young people spent five amazing days on a pilgrimage in Assisi, walking quite literally in the footsteps of St Francis. From Greccio to La Verna, from the Porziuncola to the streets of Assisi itself, every place had something special to say to us. The beauty, the silence, and the simple spirit of St Francis helped us slow down and really listen, not just to God, but to what was going on in our own hearts. As a group, we grew closer and became more like a small family. There was plenty of laughter, jokes, and fun along the way, but also some really powerful moments of prayer, especially in front of St Francis and St Carlo Acutis. In those quiet moments, many of us felt in a deeper way just how personal and real God’s love is.
